                      | *stares..amazed that someone could get 3 aprons out of 1 pair of pants..but then thinks.."this is Aunt George we are talking about, she can do that...shes that good at repurposing"...* ;)....that apron is adorable...LOVE the color combination....

                      | These aprons are so delicious!! Everyone puts their own spin on an idea and the results are fabulous! I am inspired! Right now I am hooked on making the MJF aprons, just like you, Bev. They are full of endless possibilities too. I have saved some of the curtains I was going to get rid of, just to make aprons at some point. Maybe someday I will be able to show them to you all!

                      | Georgann, You are truly talented..... I wish you were my neighbor so I could pop over & play in your sewing room.,,,,
I can hardly wait to get re-located & settled in, in Spokane Wash.....hopefully that will happen by the end of July,,,,, I have 85% of my crafting & sew stuff packed up & in storage,, & I am starting to go through sewing/crafting withdrawels.... Once I am settled in all you MJF gals are welcomed for tea & crafting/sewing....

                      | Georgann, Great Aprons. I think it is neat that you recycle garmets, but I think it is Great that you are designing these yourself. I just love that you are not following a pattern but are creative and thinking outside the box. Brava!
I love seeing what everyone is making... and would love to see others and more!

                      | Thanks Elizabeth but I'm about ready to start using more patterns. Designing is alot of work and they don't always come out right. I do enjoy pattern sewing, but I do love to just wing it too.
I've got a major project...outside of aprons...almost completed so aprons have to be put away for a few days. I practice sewing techniques on aprons and refurbished clothing. I rip them apart to see how they are put together professionally....That way I strive for a nice end product. Well, night all....happy sewing.

                      | Oh boy! I have been bitten by the apron bug -- big time! I have one that I began the other day and all I got through was the pocket--- the rick rack took me forever. I cannot wait to get my hands on it again but the next few days are going to be SO busy. We have a piano recital today, allergy doctor tomorrow, THEN daughter #2 is having her birthday. Two girls with birthdays 10 days apart. Makes for a busy month. Then maybe Thursday I can work on my apron. I will try to post it if I can figure out how to do it. I love looking at the aprons all of you have made, they are just beautiful! I am very inspired by all of you! I have tons of apron projects to do this summer and I cannot wait! |

                      | I like that peachy one Aunt George, that is very nice. I have two cut out and ready to sew, also. One is a pink floral, and the other one is green (that I am making for a friend) and will probably look alot like mine from sewgirlie. I love seeing all the aprons - they
are all so nice and nicely made, and love the colors and ideas, too. I have an old apron book and there is a pattern for what they call
a 'shirt-tail' apron, a half apron where the apron front is made from a man's shirt-tail and the waistband and ties are made from the
arms and the right front of the shirt (not the left side because that always had a pocket on it). Very interesting. Here is a picture of
the apron I made for sewgirlie when it was almost finished - I put more red binding around the edges, but I forgot to take a picture after it was all finished....too late for me to do, but it would be nice to see a picture of Sheryl in it.

                      | these are all so very nice. Aunt George I love the denim look on those aprons and how you made them look so "country". So cute. I also like the watermelon apron posted here..such a cheery pattern of fabric.
And Oregon gal..I love the redwork on your apron...so nice!
All of the aprons are great..keep up the great job everyone! I love seeing what everyone has created.

                      | Naomi, you are a whiz on your sewing machine. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your aprons. Oh, and Tina, thank you for the compliments. Love working with old denim, but my machines are moaning and groaning and begging me to stop with the denim!! LOL
