If I had a large enough window in my kitchen I'd try this. I saw it on HGTV's Decorating Cents... Vintage aprons had wire run through the ties and waistband and were sort of twisted together to make a valance the width of the window. (about 3 for a patio sliding door) And the ties were formed so they looked as though they were flying in the wind. Very cute!
Jana, My mom has done this in her kitchen using clothesline and clothespins instead of a conventional curtain rod. I love the idea of wire in the ties so they look like they're blowing in the wind. Thanks! Joy
