Sherri, How cool, who would've thought, I may have to go check out our Variety store. Sometimes it's just easier for me to buy online tho' coz I'm such a homebody. This sounds like fun, but just ask Sunshine, lol Im trying to learn how to make bobbin lace. Geeesh, I don't know what I'd do without Sunshine, she's helped me a bunch. Still a lot to learn, and it's supposed to be easy!

Mikki, I saw that picture of bobbin lace making in the stichery book and thought wow, I'd NEVER be able to do that but I love the bobbins! I agree about Sunshine - she's like a personal trainer for stichery! Well, I tried the tatting and I was going great until I tried to slide the stitches off the needle over the thread and they wouldn't go. I must have made them too tight. But Sunshine was right - the stitches themselves are super easy to do. I need to try it again, just not so tight.

Yep that is what I ment about needle tatting being looser because you have to go over two thicknesses of your yarn or thread which ever you are using and the needle too makes for a loose stitch.

You can get a much tighter stitch with a shuttle but it is harder to teach yourself where a needle a person can teach them self in a small part of an afternoon. Take care and holler if you have questions. sunshine

have a lovely day and may God bless you and keep you safe
