Hi! We just moved back to the wonderfully quiet, green, bug and butterfly filled country-10 acres of bliss! Instead of fighting traffic every evening, we sit out on the porch and listen to the birds and the breeze blowing. After big town living, this feels so otherworldly-I couldn't imagine we would be able to find this type of farm situation-15 minutes away from hustle and bustle. Although I feel overwhelmed with the new responsibility, I am thrilled at the opportunity I have been given. And I love that there is an organic/hip farming forum like this to use as a resource. Having grown up with lots of open space, woods, and fresh corn every summer-I feel like I have returned home.

Hi Heather!
That was sure a pretty description! I passed a farm house with land, that was for sale yesterday as I was heading to the fabric store in a town 20 miles away. I took down the number of the realtor, and will call today on it. It is probably a gazillion dollars though. But worth calling about, you never know. It looks blissfully beautiful.

Welcome Heather! So nice to hear of someone who has made the move and is enjoying it so much. Sounds like you found the perfect place for you! My best friend called me yesterday to tell me she has bought 3 acres outside of Otto, NC. She has a cabin with a loft!

As I read and hear about so many taking the leap to the country, my heart fills with joy for you! I can only imagine if it were me! Glad to have you on this site - you will get lots of good tips.

HI, Heather,
I'm so glad that you have found your place to match the place in your heart. It sounds wonderful. I take it since you are not in the middle of the hustle and bustle that it means you no longer have to go to the city to work? What a dream! Don't worry, I'm only 2 days older than you on the forum and everyone is very warm and welcoming and anxious to help each other with the joys of country living, I'm anxious to hear more about your place and what you hope to do with your new-found treasure. Enjoy your new world of new and relaxing noises. Welcome Home! Blessings on making your dreams come true.

In His hands,
Lynda
