Hello everyone. We're so excited with all the pinkeeper entries coming in to our contest! If you, like Frannie, are having trouble submitting your photo, it might be because your image is too big. If so, the message that returns to you should say something like "size exceeded mailbox limit." If this is so, please save your image at a smaller size (maybe 4x5 or even change the resolution of the photo from 300 dpi or whatever your camera saves originals at, to 72 dpi, which is web size. Please e-mail me directly if you have further trouble submitting. Thank you all! Carol

oh my gosh, my pin cushion showed up on the gallery! i guess the pic finally made it there. my pin cushion has some words on it that say"at night she would sew by moonlight", and i guess that is the name of the pincushion as well. good luck to all this has really been a fun experience and we have enjoyed it here at the farm.

Katelyn-
What great pinkeepers! I really like them all! Are you thinking of selling them on Etsy or what?

Bethany s. I think your hedge hog is too cute. I like the cowboy hat & boots. The apron is adorable. How long did that take you?

WooHoo!!! I had tryed to submit my pinkeeper photo and it kept bouncing back to me so finally I got it through and I just looked at the gallery and it's in there I was really kind of bummed since I thought it may not have gotten to them again.

Me too! I thought it was going to be announced on the 15th. Am I mistaken? Anybody have different info?

The winners of the Pinkeeper Contest can't be announced as scheduled because Meg and I have a five-way tie going for best of show!!!!! We do know that the Idaho City Farmgirls won for most entries from a chapter. Stay tuned. Meg and I are having a hard time deciding. Your entries were all so good!!!! We were thinking we should have come up with a dozen different categories from the get-go--humor, cute, frugal, unique, antique, etc. We feel like we need a couple more days. Sorry. |

Oh how exciting! It will be fun to see who they pick as the winner- but you know, just seeing everyone's pinkeepers and the contest and all has been so much fun in of itself!

I think we're going to "pin" down our winners today but this has been a lot harder than I thought it would be. We're finalizing our nine honorable mentions as I write this. As it turns out, Meg and I had a hard time "eliminating" anyone (such a silly concept anyway). We loved them ALL!!! and wish we could KEEP and visit each and every farmgirl "keeper." |

I am at my sisters and have not been able to check in very often. I will beg my dear, sweet nephew to let me pop in later to see who has won. That will be one lucky farmgal for sure!! Cannot wait to give a cyber-hug to the winner. :)

Hey Gail (grammygail)
Welcome to the forum I just noticed where you are located! What part of Chattanooga do you live in? I'm in Valley Head, Alabama about 50 minutes from downtown Chattanooga or a little over an hour out to Hamilton Place...That's where I do all of my shopping.
Email me or post where you are...Do you sew? LOL I ask everyone that question... since I do..you'll have to excuse me I have met several ladies in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee since joining a few months ago. There is just everything to do around here that you can imagine so I know you will love it!
Hope to hear from you,

Hi Stephanie! You are just down the road from me, aren't you? That is exciting for me. My family is located in the Piedmont, Ala. area and I am happy to hear from you. I am a new member and also am in a recently formed chapter here in Chattanooga called "Southern Threads". That should give it away........Yes I sew....nothing wrong with that question! I also piddle a little in everything else! I entered the pinkeeper contest and actually finished my pinkeeper and sent it in on time. I am notorious for not getting things "finished" on time....ha. So I am just proud that I did and feel that I accomplished something. But I still can't believe how much time I put into it. I thought it would be easy to make a "little boot" and as usual I bit off almost more that I could chew!!!! Not the first time for that!!!! Well, enough about me.......tell me about you and what you sew and such........I will be looking forward to hearing from you either here or by e-mail. Always room for more friends and maybe you could give me some pointers to help me around this site.......it is quite the busy spot to be!! Glad to hear from a southern farmgirl!!! GrammyGail |
