Hi, gals! Pinkeepers are the same as pin cushions in my mind, so you're all right on track - not "cornfused" at all!!!!
XOXO, Libbie

I think Libbie is right- that Pin keepers are anything that will keep your pins for you while you aren't using them. In the Stitching Room" Maryjane mentions several things you can use for filler. I am under the impression that we can just really cut loose and let our creativeness shine through on this one. I have a really cute idea- but the follow through might me hard. Wish me luck!

MaryJane - I"ve got a copy of the new book and it's just lovely. I have enough hobbies already, but I"m afraid I"m going to have to start tatting now!

I believe that each person is limited to one entry. I am going to make several and then decide which I like best. The rest are going to become birthday and Christmas presents for people in my life. It is going to be fun to try and find something that will relate really well to each person. For instance, my mom loves those antique mini pitches. Sometimes they were used for cream and sometimes they are just made for fun. I think I will find a really pretty one and make a pin keeper out of it for her. Maybe I will use a bit of flannel from the scraps of Nora's diapers and tat some edging for it. Who knows? The sky is the limit!

Alee- This is the one I am entering. It took six hours to make and the petals, leaves and bulb are hand-painted silk ribbon. It is probably going to be a one-of-a-kind!! I was up until 1:30 in the morning Friday (Saturday?) making it. lol.

Karin - it is absolutely gorgeous - I love it! I am super-inspired by all the pinkeeper talk and work going on around the farmgirl world - can you just imagine it? Farmgirls all over the place working on pinkeepers - it really gives me a good feeling when I think of it!
XOXO, Libbie

To mumof3, you are a very talented woman, not just in the sewing department, but to be able to visualize such a beautiful project. I am afraid I am not very creative that way but I can sew up a storm so I will do the best I can. I think the fun is in getting together as a chapter and laugh and share ideas. Blessings to you, idcityrose
