Well... last night was my sons prom. His date & the couple they were going with came over last night for pics. He looked so grown up! Seems like mine was yesterday! Next month he graduates. So hard to believe. Time really does fly! He really has become a fine young man. Both DH & I are proud of who is is & will become.
For those of you who have young children.. savor every moment, because it really does happen quickly. You don't see it while it's happening, or while you are struggling with parenting, but they are grown before you know it.

You mean I can't stick Nora into a box and keep her in her baby phase forever?! ;) I am trying really hard to savor each stage with her. I already know I will miss the newborn stage a bit- so sweet and cuddly!! I hope each new stage has their own rewards to make me love them just as much!

Aww Kelly! you make me cry! For those of you who dont already know it, kelly and I are sisters. So that fine young man she is talking about is my nephew. And a fine young man he is! I can remember when he was so little and now he is at the edge of manhood waiting to leap head first into it. I am so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. Way to go big guy! I am so proud of you!
I too can't believe how fast it goes by. I have two young boys myself and cherish everyday with them, even on the hard days of parenting. I know someday I will be where my big sis is right now and savoring my childs achievements yet feeling a sense sadness, knowing that they someday will leave the nest and be responsible for their own decisions (not that they wont call home for their momma). But you know what I mean. Congrats Kelly on making it through when times werent always so easy. I am proud of you and your sweet DH(my bro in law). You have raised not just a wonderful son, but two wonderful daughters as well. ok, so now I am gonna go find a tissue.
Life isn't measured by how many breaths you take, but by how many moments take your breath away. |

Ok... didnt get back on here until today, but thanks for the kind words! Thanks Jaime for making me cry too. Sitting here all teary eyed at work. Oh well! Thank God it's not PMS week... I might have had to go home!
He had a good time with his date & friends. At least I have 2 years before I go through this again with my DD. A little break! Phew! Those milestones sure make you think don't they? It's so hard to try & let them become adults & make their own decisions. Graduation is fast approaching & then he will really have a lot to decide. Of course, we will always be there for supports & advice, but like I said, boy it's hard!
