I hope to get mine in the mail saturday. I have never had some much trouble making a square. Nothing is matching and driving me crazy.

Don't worry, no ones squares are matching up. A few people got theirs really close, but the rest of us just made ours unmatched. It is okay, that is how we know a human made them and not a robot.

Hello!
I was wondering how we were doing on our blocks? Have we all finished? I should have done two more sets. Oh well, I can't wait to see what I get.

I have all squares but one, I think Nicie said she would have hers to me really soon. Everyone else looks really good. As soon as I get them I will get them back to everyone the next day. You have some time, make some more. I made a bunch, I thought they were so fun and easy. I will let you know when I i get them out.

Who needed their squares for a quilting weekend retreat? I cannot remember. I am worried about getting them back to you in time. If I hear from Nicie, I would feel better about it. I hope she is okay. If you are in a hurry to get your squares let me know. I would like to wait to get everyones before I send them back out, but I know some of you have projects you want them for. Let me know what you all think. Jess

Jess, that's a tuff call,
I too hope that Nicie is ok.
My personal thought is that if you do not hear from her by Sunday, lets move forward. I don't want to be grinch, but I am hoping to get the squares soon so I can work on my current project.
But you are wearing the apron in this project & I am ok with what ever you decide.

I was late on a swap once, so the coordinator sent me the list of participants and when I got my items done I mailed them out to each of the other participants instead of mailing them all to the coordinator. On the other end, she held the things the others had sent in for me until she knew that I had sent all of mine out, and then she sent me my box of goodies. That way the whole group wasn't held up, and if I didn't get my things done, then I wouldn't get my exchange things from everyone else. Clear as mud??

So, you could mail out everyone's squares except Nicie's, give her the list of participants addresses (assuming she's still playing), and when she's done she can mail each of us her square directly, and when you know we've got them, then you can mail her the rest of her squares.

Just an idea if the others want to get started on something--I know mine will just sit in a pile till June or so.....

Hi everyone,
If my opinion counts I agree with the majority. Actually, I am one of those people that like piles of blocks. I have a small box of 9 patch blocks, a stack of Seasonal theme blocks, I even started collecting 6 1/2 charms. With the other swap group I am in I started a swap with 12 1/2 blocks. I should really get these all together and make a quilt. I never finish my quilt tops. Well actually I finish the tops I just never have them quilted. I am not too sure where to go and what a reasonable cost would be. So now I just collect the blocks. I know, what is the purpose of that? Anyway, I can’t wait to see what the next swap will be. Any reason to get lost in the fabric shop is a good reason to me. I am even trying my hand at apparel. I’m not to good with the zippers yet. Darn.
With that said....What did I realy have to say???
Oh, When the blocks are at my door that will be good enough for me.
Have a great weekend. I here that we, North East, will be getting a little storm tomorrow. Great, chance of more snow. Its Spring is it not? I know, I am rambling.....

Keep your chin up with the zippers, they are not so bad, they can just seem that way. I think a lot of us have become square and top collectors. I use mine for all kinds of things. I am just going to swap everyones stuff out and save a small pile for nicie in hopes that she will eventually get them. Have fun with the snow. It is just grey cold and rainy here. Jess

Hi, Jessica.

I was the one going to sew up these at the quilt retreat. However, I am now going camping instead and will sew these up at home as soon as they come in. So, no hurry, just when they get here.

I think if you email nicie a few more times and see what is happening. If you get no response, then I would swap out what you have on the 20th. That seems fair. A week or so by email to alet you know if she still wants to be in it seems fair to me.

whatever you decide is fine with me. Looking forward to the swap blocks.
