Another blog hint: An easy way to create links to other farmgirl blogs is to use a free service like www.Blogrolling.com. It allows you to put a button on your browser's toolbar so you can hit a button and add a blog you like to your "blogroll." It gives you the HTML code so you can add your Blogroll list to your blog so other people can read your favorites, too. Even if you don't have a blog, you can use Blogrollings or Bloglines to keep track of your favorite blogs and see quickly which ones have new posts for you to read.
I have three blogs (worms, chickens, and gardening) and you can only have one Blogroll for free, so I put mine on my gardening blog--scroll down and look on the right for my list of blogs.

Maybe we can have a list of farmgirl blogs on this site somewhere!
Oh, and that's right, you absolutely don't have to have ads on your blog. It's totally optional. I like Blogger (that's Blogspot) because it's owned by Google and they make things easy. For instance, they offer a "Blog This" button that makes it easy to blog about a news article or something else online if you have the Google Toolbar, and also their free photo software, Picassa, has a one-step button for uploading a photo to a blog.

I can't tell you how much I am enjoying all of these blogs...keep 'em coming! I will be updating mine with pictures of the house. In the meantime, I am in Seattle now for my LAST scrapbook show of the season (HOORAY). Not excited about it being the last show, because I miss all of my friends during the three month break, but I am excited because I am ready to get to TN and start making my new house a home. As I mentioned before, I will have passes waiting for anybody who wants to come to the show in Bellevue this weekend (Friday and Saturday). Just send me an email and let me know.

Patricia ~ after all our e-mail correspondence it is really nice to see your smiling face and Stu's also! The photos on your newspaper articles were from years ago. I love that we have the same hair color!! You would get along famously with a friend of mine who is a Veterinarian and a Naturopath. She is also connected psychically, which really fascinates me! Amy ~ I enjoyed your blog! Thanks for the organic gardening tips and links. You are yet another talented, resourceful farmgirl!! Sunnily yours, Cindylou

Cindylou ~ I'm glad you enjoyed! Was born a strawberry blonde, darkened over the years to mousy brown, then in my 40s when it started to go gray, I went nuts and colored it red. I liked it until I got tired of coloring it a couple of years ago so I stopped and found out it's mostly gray and I love it! Can't wait until it's completely gray and I can add "sparkle" as the rinse people promise.
I work with some veterinarians. It's good 'cause I can tell them where it hurts. I always start my readings with a nose-to-tail medical scan. It gives the client more info and by the time I'm done, the animal is used to my being in their heads. This is particular important on phone, tv or radio readings when they can't sniff me and check me out the way they ordinarily do.
Yesterday, I had to tell someone it was time for her beloved Junior to cross the Rainbow Bridge and she would have to help him. It broke her heart, particularly since about a month ago, she had to put another dog to sleep, but she did it. Today I let her know Junior's fine, running around like crazy on the velvet lawn (which he hasn't been able to do in a couple of years) and playing with his brother and pals who have gone before or who he just met.
Gotta go. Stu's making cheese crackers.
Love, P

Patricia ~ oh my goodness, we are so much alike - in the hair department anyway! When Abram was five, he said "mommy, you have gray hair, are you old?" Well, I too started graying early, so decided I could fix that. I used Henna for many years for that great auburn color. However, it doesn't work once your hair is mostly white but turns a greenish orange. So, I let mine go back to its' new natural color and love it!
When our 16 year old cat Ricochet was failing, I asked Denice. She said he was ready to go. I was very grateful to have him peacefully purring in my lap as the injection allowed him to pass. You two are on the same wavelength! sunnily yours,

Cindylou, I don't know how many clients over the years have come to me weeping with guilt over putting their pet to sleep. Invariably, the pet tells me to tell them, "Thank you! You did for me what I was having trouble doing for myself!" Many have said, "You think that was YOUR idea? It was mine." I'd like to meet Denice. Maybe someday! Maybe she'll come July 5 weekend.

Sue, welcome to the blogging world!! I have been off the site for a few days since I am traveling, but I will be back home in TN for good by tomorrow. Right now, I am sitting at a rest stop in Iowa (FREE wireless internet access!!!) taking a break from driving. I will be in Missouri this afternoon (picking up my cat) and then I will have company in this moving van for the rest of the trip. For everyone who has created a blog lately, I can't wait to get home and check them out to see who has updated theirs. I have posted a few new pictures on mine, and when I start the renovation, I will keep you up to date with what I am doing to the house. First...keep driving, second get home. Third....sleep. I think I will do nothing this weekend but play with Chai and Earl Grey, make a pot of tea or two, light the fire in the library, and read a couple of books. Monday is soon enough to get busy. I am reading a new author now, so check out my post in the book section...I think y'all will like this one!

I have been in my new home for a week now, and have managed to unpack about 10 boxes. Everytime I want to put something away, I find there is something I need to do first (can't put the books on the shelves until they get painted, etc). It doesn't help that I went and got my library card and have been reading the Elm Creek Quilt series for several hours a day when I should be unpacking. And Chai is not much help...he wants to play all day long, and when he is not playing, he likes to crawl up by my neck and go to sleep. Makes for nice naps! I am starting quilting lessons on Saturday, and I can't wait! So far, all is going well, and I look forward to catching up on everyone's blogs this week.

I have finished one and two, and just checked out number 3. I start quilting lessons this Saturday, and I am so excited! I am going to cheat a little, though, because I will be doing mostly machine quilting. I want to learn to hand piece the tops, and use a machine for the rest. I just know I'm going to love it. These books really get you hooked on the idea of going to a quilt retreat, don't they?

Hey bloggers, I added another blog to my credit, this time at Blogspot where most of yours are at, easier to load pics there too! This blog will be more like a website for my articles, a gift to myself to stay in the writing mode! Speaking of writing, are those Elm Creek series at the libraries yet? They sound intetesting! www.herbalfarmstead.blogspot.com
