I love snacking on dehydrated peaches!
Yesterday was pickle day - 10 quarts all sealed! And I made 3 jelly jars of cowboy candy.

Got some canning done this morning. Salsa, pickles, and green chili's. Peaches and pears are sitting on the dining room table to ripen up. So lots to do in the coming days.

Canning canning canning! Peaches, pears, cherry pie filling, tomato sauce. Got pears dehydrating, and a few more to go. Peach jelly, and pie filling on the list for today. Also blue berry pie filling. First I got to run to a bulk food store. Turns out I was low on clear jel, darn it. Got the root crops all dug too, incase we do get rain they are calling for. We have been very dry. A half an inch for both July and August. Something had been eating on potatoes, and they were mostly dead. Happy Canning everyone.

Wow! You've been a busy lady, Michele! Hope everything is sealing up nicely. I wish I could send you some of our rain. It's settled down now, but we had 5.5 inches in 8 days. Not normal at all for August! I canned 19 pints of potatoes and 9 more jelly jars of cowboy candy. I need to get out there tomorrow and get the lima beans and peppers in the freezer.

Nice canning ladies. I did get 11 quarter pints of pizza sauce canned up this morning. Had just one bowl of tomatoes, so that turned out nicely. I make up a small crust and freeze them, then I have "pizza kits". I cook up a few pounds of pork sausage also and refreeze in small bags.

Michelle and Tara, you have been busy!!! How wonderful to have all of that on your shelves! The past couple of weeks I’ve made sweet pickle relish, dill pickles, tomatoes, a double batch of Shirley sauce, three berry jam and plum jam. I finished drying all of my peaches and am now working my way through the apples before the pears arrive next week. I’ve been stashing my plum tomatoes in the freezer until I get a bunch and then I think I will make it into salsa.
