What wonderful additions to your sewing room! I can't wait to see what you stitch up on your new machine.

I've ordered the leather belt and looked up a couple tutorials on how to install it. In the meantime, I used our excess fencing to expand the dogs yard. There's a slight jog in the fence line, so I may use extras to smooth it out.
Rose is exploring and checking for weaknesses.

Vanessa, I bet Rose is going to love her new expanded fence line! Hopefully she doesn't find any weakness.

Just an update on Chantal (the singer). I've been fiddling with the belt, and it's almost tight enough, but the staple that's supposed to hold both ends together broke with all the on and off adjustments. So now I'll either sew the ends together with upholstery thread or drive to the sewing machine shop to see if the owner has extra staples. I've also looked up how to thread it, and am ready to go.

I sew my treadle belts together. It's quieter than the click click click of the sound of the staple. If, after time, your belt stretches you can just trim the end and sew together again. Poking the hole with an awl first helps.
