Posted - Oct 28 2011 : 1:17:31 PM Fresh...Although the used works pretty well too if you lay it out to dry first. I have oven dried the bags of grounds from starbucks and then put little cottage cheese containers of it, with holes in the lids of course, around the house, under furniture and such, before. It will also get rid of fleas and wood roaches for some unknown reason. I just consider that a huge bonus!!!

Honest? Wow, pretty cool. Ii remember a loooong time ago, some older folks I knew who once ran a diner told me that used coffee grounds were good for cleaning the floor. I guess it was abrasive without scratching deeply into the linoleum. I asked if that wouldn't draw bugs and they said no. (Very clean people, too!) Hmmm.... |

Posted - Sep 18 2011 : 09:30:35 AM 1/2 cup bleach to a gallon of water and then slowly stir in 1/2 cup white vinegar. I would put it in a pump type sprayer with a wand like you would do bug spray in. That way you can get to the ceilings and all around the floors as well. Don't rinse, let it air dry.

Posted - Sep 18 2011 : 07:12:22 AM I read somewhere that setting an open bag of charcoal briquets in a corner of a musty room would act as charcoal filter air freshener. Makes sense, they use charcoal in those filters. I am planning to try it in my basement stairway

Posted - Sep 17 2011 : 6:05:51 PM I agree with Anne Jeanette, vinegar and water is the best, if that doesn't work, go for the bleach and water!

Posted - Sep 17 2011 : 5:59:33 PM You can try a mixture of bleach and water (make sure you don't have any pets around) or you could try washing it down with a mixture of vinager and water. Assuming this has a concrete floor.
