Posted - Feb 07 2008 : 07:59:27 AM Well I accidentally washed and dried a tube of chapstick with a load of laundry the other day. Not to mention with a new shirt and it left stains on all the clothes. I have tried everthing I could think of. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

Posted - Feb 07 2008 : 08:59:06 AM if it has gone thru the dryer, you might want to regenerate the stain with WD-40 or veggie oil before using the dishsoap. I have done that before and it has worked every time. I even did a demonstrative speech on it in college! LOL!

Posted - Feb 07 2008 : 08:32:40 AM Wow, who knew something like Chapstick would leave a stain? We are both addicted to Chapstick but in all my years of doing laudry I have never washed a tube of it...my favorite (and unfortunately, frequently repeated)trick is to forget a piece of Kleenex in the pocket of something...but that's for another story.
Good luck to both of you girls in getting the clothing cleaned up. Thanks for the lesson.

Posted - Feb 07 2008 : 08:26:37 AM I have done it MANY times...and there is very little to do, unless you have the time to sit down with borax, baking soda and yep..Some shout and a tooth brush. I've even used GOOP and scrub each little greasy smudge.
Sorry girls. I think that's why I started wearing dark colors :)
