I tried sprouting and it worked! Now what do I do with them all? I only started with 1/2 a cup, but my mason jar overflowed and they keep growing bigger every day! I try to use a handful here and there, but there are still tons! These are mung bean sprouts. Any ideas????

You can grind them up and add them to bread recipes, they are good cooked into vegetarian or meat loaves as well, or try them in omelets. Sprouting seeds are available at most natural/organic food stores, there are many seeds that are good for sprouting and FULL of nutrition!

use them for soups, salads, sandwiches, casseroles. You can use them anywhere.

Rachel Ray made a salad with bean sprouts on 30 minute meals last night. You can get the recipe on foodtv.com

Do you have kids? My oldest one (almost 4) likes to pretend that he's some sort of livestock or other and the sprouts are "hay" and he can eat as many as I'll let him! After a whole bunch of them, I have to warn him about bloat...

My favorite lunch: tortilla with black beans or refried beans, shredded cheddar or jalepeno jack cheese, salsa and sprouts. For dinner, you can add roasted chicken breast, tomatoes, corn, whatever...

salads and stir fries and to add a bit of crunch to a sandwich..that's about all I can think of at the moment.

Wow Mary! I wish I had some suggestions for you, that's a lot of sprouts. I was wondering where you found the seeds to sprout? I'm looking for alfalfa seeds for sprouting, but haven't found any. Good luck with the mung beans....at least you're successful! Lu
