until I get my kitchen counters in,, I am limited.. but this is such an easy peasy recipe...
gathering some of the ingredients... I used non fat milk in place of the buttermilk and sweet unsalted butter...(I like sweet corn bread)
 into the oven it goes...
 Done and Yum!
I can hardly wait to try some of the other recipes...

Posted - Jan 21 2018 : 2:51:27 PM I made that same cornbread recipe several times from MaryJane's cookbook and it is the best recipe I have ever had. The cornbread comes out moist and light which is just plain yummy with melting butter and apple butter on top! YUM!!

Posted - Jan 19 2018 : 07:12:12 AM I'm going to have to get this cookbook! It looks fantastic!!! We mainly use cast iron when we go camping but I have ceramic coated pieces I use in the kitchen too. AND I was so excited when DH brought home a new cast iron pan with a cool "high" cast iron top to it. He called it a chicken fryer - I call it FUN! |

Posted - Dec 22 2017 : 05:53:57 AM Yum!! I made sourdough pancakes in my skillet the other day - you just pour the whole batter in the pan, cook fr 5 minutes, top it off in the broiler (to cook the top) for another 2 minutes, and put on the plate. So quick and easy - and delicious! I love cast iron cooking :)
