So I suppose im kind of behind the times, but i made my first bakeover last night and it was WONDERFUL!! All i could think about was what i could put in the next one and the one after that! haha!! So if there is anyone that hasnt tried it yet, it is SO simple!! I think its virtually mess up free!

I just used my stir-fry pan, its similar to a wok but its wider and not as deep...and of course oven safe. I just used potatoes, onions, spices, bacon, mushrooms and LOTS of cheese...( i love cheese!)Next time im going to try more veggies, like peppers. I think next week will be experimental bakeover week! haha!

Yes, bakeovers are great! I've only used my special pan, although I think Faith is correct in saying that you could use whatever. But, a bakeover pan is a wonderful investment as far as I'm concerned. It is the "one-pan convenience" item, and washes beautifully. And, it is now my official egg-scrambling pan. It cooks eggs up great! Something about the heat distribution, I suppose. We love our farm-fresh eggs, but I am picky about how they are cooked. In my bakeover pan, they come out perfect! A dab of butter melted and swirled around the pan, dump in the scrambled eggs (I like to add a little milk when mixing them up), cook over medium heat, stirring as needed. Perfection! Moist and yummy, and the pan just wipes out! And if I want to add some leftover meat or veggies to the eggs - sort of a lazy omelet - I just saute those in the same pan, transfer to a bowl while cooking the eggs, and then add it all back together. Simple and delicious!

Sounds so yummy! I havent done a bake over either. does anyone have any recipes that they could post or email to me. I would love to try one, or two, wink!

I do love bakeovers. They are so easy and delicious! They do become habit-forming! :)

I haven't made one yet, either...
Kelly, I would assume that any pan would work as long as it is oven-safe.
If you don't have an oven-safe skillet, I would just saute the filling on the range, and then put the filling in a pie plate, casserole dish, or cake pan, cover with the crust and bake it in there. (Depending on the amount of filling, you may have to use 2 dishes.)
Heck, you could even do the same thing, as far as assembling the filling, and bake it in a 13x9 and just not do the 'Over' part of it...
You wouldn't have the 'one-dish-to-wash' convenience, but you'd get the same result.

Leah.. If you are behind then I am way way behind. I have yet to make one. I guess I gotta have the pan & the ingredients, but I dont yet. Maybe I will get those sometime this year. Do you just have to use the bakeover pan or is any kind ok? I definitely can handle a simple meal that everyone will like!
