Posted - Oct 12 2015 : 05:53:22 AM One of the pints of applesauce I canned this weekend did not seal. I only discovered after I went to remove the rings and test seals about 24 hours after setting them out to cool.
I noticed right away that there was way too much headspace in the jar (UGH!) and the lid popped right off when I tried it.
I put the jar in the fridge right away, but my question is this:
Is it really still safe to eat after sitting out to cool for 24 hours? |

Posted - Oct 19 2015 : 5:39:49 PM OK - sorry - but this is how my brain works. I read your topic and immediately pictured an unhappy marine critter sitting in a corner with a little dunce cap on his head.
And this is without any medicinal marijuana! Cindy |
