If you had to pick ONE recipe which is your most favorite, what would it be?

Mine is a tie between my curried pumpkin stew and my homemade pesto. Or maybe my greek meat pastries?

My hubby's is the homemade gnocci I make for him.

All stewed together of course, without Paul ........... he'd make the meal taste "fishy"!

Cioppino, did I spell that right??? tomatoes, basil, garlic, black cod, fresh shrimp, alaskan king crab, mussels, a nice big bottle of wine, and Paul at the table. Now that's a meal!!!

runzas
1 head of cabbage chopped fine
1 onion chopped fine
1 pound of hambuger
fry this until done drain and rinse
add salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of carray seed

while frying the meat mixture make a batch of bread dough
i guess at this and don't measure( yes it used to drive my mom crazy)
water
flour
salt
oil
package of yeast
mix together, knead, let rise, roll out
cut in 4" squares, put a tablespoon of meat mixture in center, pinch together, put seam side down on baking sheet, let rise 30 minutes, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

The recipe changes every time. I have used celery seed or fennil seed. Some time i put cheese in them. THey have "runsa" fast food franchises in Nebraska & Kansas. It is a Russan/german thing.

I have a great (very basic but perfect enough that I don't mess with it) oatmeal cookie recipe that I love, and one for beef stew that is really good too.

Nutmeg pound cake. It's my daughter's favorite as well, and she will get it on her 18th birthday for her birthday cake!! Yikes! It's less than a month away! :)

Spanikopita without a doubt! I love greek food, but I could live on a desert island with just spanikopita (though a little baklava would be nice!)

My favorite thing to actually make is my Bailey's Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, it is always a winner. (Recipe is posted in old Kitchen topic somewhere I think). But then again...no, I will stop!

with a happy heart

Oh...this is one tough question! I really like East Indian food, and have made some curries from scratch...and then something very simple, that doesn't require a recipe is a fried egg sandwich...mmmm!
