Posted - Jul 22 2012 : 06:02:34 AM Um! These were delicious! However, I did hand cut them and it causes thinner ones to burn. I have to buy a mandolin now. Yum!!! Oh so good, and to me, better than the Terra brand.
Recipe: http://www.marthastewart.com/312807/beet-chips
I sprinkled mine with sea salt (and didn't really measure, but filled 2 trays).
I have to make these again!
I think I will try to get some made today.

Posted - Jul 24 2012 : 06:30:00 AM I made squash chips the other day, and they were very good too, but will use less oil next time than the recipe I had. Such a great way to eat veggies as a snack.

Posted - Jul 23 2012 : 07:08:29 AM My 3 year old who won't eat anything really loves Kale chips and I thought I'd try her out on these, too. I don't have a mandolin, though--I'll have to figure somthing out!

Posted - Jul 22 2012 : 7:06:30 PM Kale also makes wonderful chips using the leaves. Make only 7 minutes or until the kale is just barely brown on the very edges. These have the stamp of approval of my friend's two boys ages 6 & 8! Enjoy!

Posted - Jul 22 2012 : 08:03:59 AM I did plant organic and we don't use chemicals whatsoever. I'll update if I do. I just have to finish canning relish, and such.

Posted - Jul 22 2012 : 06:42:24 AM Made them a long time ago. Did find that the taste of the organic beets was better than any others.
Enjoy!
