These are the blossoms after being squeezed.
Spent blossoms suspended in liquid. Appetizing, eh?
 The tools of the trade.
Cilla measuring out the sugar- 5 cups per batch!!
Sorry this is blurry! This is my mom- the neat one of the bunch trying to clean up after me!!
Double bubble, toil and trouble! Me stirring, and stirring, and stirring.....
The final result- Beautiful jars of magenta jelly casting jewel-like light throughout my kitchen!!

Posted - Aug 31 2006 : 11:51:56 PM Shirley- You are on the list!! I have a jar with your name on it. I did e-mail you through the forum to let you know. Hmmmm. It must not have gone through. Just e-mail me your address and I will gladly get it out to you. I mailed 7 jars out yesterday!! (Priority mail so it will get there sooner.)The man at the post office (located in a tiny country store) asked me what I was mailing, and when I told him he didn't believe me. So, I promised him I would bring him some, and he ran to the back of the little shop to bring me a jar of Hot Pepper Jelly that HE had made. It's back there today for delivery!

Posted - Aug 31 2006 : 5:02:04 PM Didn't know kudzu was good for anything. They are beautiful. What flavor does it have? Being from the mid-atlantic states we don't have it as a problem but have seen it on trips to the south and knew it was a problem for you. Leave it to a farmgirl to come up with some way to use it!!
