Posted - Feb 06 2012 : 09:34:31 AM One time, a friend of ours fixed Steak Tartare and served it. Dumb me had no idea what it was but one bite and I was about to lose it. Turns out it is raw beef!!! Blehhhh. So sushi with cooked fish and steak cooked medium is just fine with me!! :-)

Posted - Feb 03 2012 : 5:34:51 PM I adore Sushi also, and have not had it in a long time. I never knew there was such a thing as cooked Sushi...seems a shame to ruin it by cooking it. I love raw fish!

Posted - Feb 03 2012 : 12:51:33 PM Annika, having lived in Maine, and now in Okieland, I can sympathize. At least we get fresh Gulf Shrimp and flounder. But crab and lobster? forget it. So we just pretend like we never had anything different! :-)

Posted - Feb 03 2012 : 08:08:49 AM Oh Mary Beth, I adore Sushi! But, I confess myself to be a fish snob. Since I moved from Seattle to the Palouse I have mostly given up on fish as it just doesn't taste fresh being this far inland. When ever we make the trip to Seattle. it's all that I eat!
