And I don't mean the raw fish kind - bleh. If you love sushi and would like to know how to make it, I put a step-by-step tutorial up at the blog. It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. We love to have it with a salad. Very, very, very healthy!! :-)

My 10 yo dd is a sushi fanatic! She's been making her own for almost 3 years now. She received a kit with a "cookbook" and has been going strong ever since. She does do the raw fish kind!

Good for her, Deb!! I love to hear when young ones are cooking!! But no, can't do the raw fish. I'm afraid it'll wake up in my tummy!

Oh Mary Beth, I adore Sushi! But, I confess myself to be a fish snob. Since I moved from Seattle to the Palouse I have mostly given up on fish as it just doesn't taste fresh being this far inland. When ever we make the trip to Seattle. it's all that I eat!

Annika, having lived in Maine, and now in Okieland, I can sympathize. At least we get fresh Gulf Shrimp and flounder. But crab and lobster? forget it. So we just pretend like we never had anything different! :-)

I adore Sushi also, and have not had it in a long time. I never knew there was such a thing as cooked Sushi...seems a shame to ruin it by cooking it. I love raw fish!

I love sushi but now the cooked kind only after watching the show "Monsters Inside Me" show. I don't want to get a parasite from the raw fish..that show freaked me out! So its cooked sushi only for me!!

No, I don't eat sushi. I'm like Mary Beth, my tummy would rebel just looking at it.

One time, a friend of ours fixed Steak Tartare and served it. Dumb me had no idea what it was but one bite and I was about to lose it. Turns out it is raw beef!!! Blehhhh. So sushi with cooked fish and steak cooked medium is just fine with me!! :-)
