Hi! I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to make poached egg using a cast iron poached egg pan?

I bought mine to make corn bread in. I love crunchy and was thinking that with them so small I would have lots of crunchy. Got my pan seasoned but have not tried it yet but.....i am retiring very soon (tomorrow is my official last day) and hope to have time to do the things I want to do.

Thanks for the info on the pancake balls, will try them and your tips should make it easier.

Actually that pan is for making pancake balls, which are much easier than you think.

Yes, I didn't think you could poach eggs in an aebleskiver pan, but if you suspend it over a skillet of boiling water, they poach that way. I'd recommend medium sized eggs.

I think I might try to make poached eggs with just a little bit of water in the bottom of each cup and see how they do, maybe put a lid of some sort on top to help them cook. I'll let you know if I try it this weekend.
