It is a "tradition" I believe where I work that the birthday girl or guy brings the treat on their birthday. My birthday was on 12/29 and January 3 will be my first day back after the Christmas and New Year holidays. Since we had sooooooooooooo many sweet treats leading up to Christmas I am going to take an assortment of finger food appetizers. I'm looking for deviled eggs recipes that are a little different than my normal boring recipe. Any good recipes lurking out there? Actually any good, easy appetizers, hot or cold that I could take? I've included my crab dip, always a great hit.
Crab Dip 8 mock crab legs, chopped fine 20 - 25 medium shrimp, chopped fine 2 teaspoons dill weed 3/4 cup mayo 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese I add: finely chopped onion to taste horseradish to taste You can certainly substitute real crab and if the mixture is too dry add a little more mayo. Mix all together and refrigerate at least two hours before serving, overnight is best. Serve with crackers or chips. Enjoy!
