Breakfast is my FAVORITE meal of the day. In fact, I make breakfast for supper! :-) My favorite is a toss-up between Eggs Benedict and a Western Omelette with hashbrowns and grits. I put my recipe for Eggs Benedict from scratch at the blog this morning. What is your favorite morning food?? :-)

My fave breakfasts are cinnamon bread with almond butter, eggs benedict, and my husband's spicy scrambled eggs on Sunday mornings. All with my morning tea of course :)

Hey Tina, How do you make Tomato Gravy?? Would love to try it. One my faves for breakfast is greek yogurt with fresh peaches, and honey. Sprinkled with ground flax seeds.

Oh Janiee, you've made my day!!!! Thank you so much for your words. That just means so much!! BTW, just a "it's a small world" kinda thing, my son just moved back to Oklahoma to a new job from Waco where he had been a professor at Texas State Technological College there. :-) My niece is still there finishing up at Baylor.

This is my new fave breakfast! We had this at an adult family get-together this weekend! Can't wait to try it with my kids and grandkids!
Omelets in a bag. Take a freezer bag for each person eating. Put his/her name on it. Start a large pan of water to boil (like if you were boiling corn on the cob). Have as many eggs as you might need ready to crack. Put your omelet fillings in separate bowls. (We had chopped onions, mushrooms, shredded cheese, tomatoes. Have each diner crack the number of eggs they would like into the bag. Close bag and smoosh eggs. I just had one but still smooshed it. Then each person adds whatever condiments they choose. Close bag again and smoosh. Then open bag, squeeze air out, close bag, and place in boiling water. Takes just a few minutes and no mess. Slips right out of bag and onto plate. Served with bacon. Yum!

I'd choose chocolate milk over coffee any day haha and crispy hashbrowns are simply the best...

I love hashbrowns cooked crispy. Everything goes with them. Not a coffee drinker, but have started almost every morning since high school with a large glass of chocolate milk. I'm not going to tell you when I graduated - lol.

Tracy, I've never heard of using crab cakes. Wow. Now THAT sounds interesting. Were the cakes made with fresh crab or just the kind you buy at the store? That sounds just yummy.

Breakfast is the ULTIMATE meal. I like either one of the following variations: oatmeal and bacon, eggs and bacon, or waffles and bacon. Mmmmmmmm!

we have lots of hens, so eggs are a big part of our meals! The kids love scrambled eggs for breakfast with cheese.
I love eggs florentine, or spinach fritattas or a dutch baby pancake!

We often make breakfast for supper ,too! Egg "mc muffins" is a big hit with the kids. Another one is skillet supper. basically it's hashbrowns, with eggs and ham or turkey added, and topped with cheese! yumm!

I'm on Facebook too much, I keep looking for the "like" button. My favorite breakfast here lately has been potatoes and onions fried with swiss chard, topped with two sunny side up eggs sitting on a whole wheat tortilla with hot sauce or salsa.

Definitely eggs benedict!
I have had a version of it with crab cakes in stead of the canadian bacon. It sent me into orbit!

An omelet made by my husband - eggs, green peppers and onions, bacon, cheese, and fried potatoes (with some potatoes on the side). Sometimes we have toast with homemade jelly/jam too.

Belgian Waffles...I forgot about belgian waffles Elaine! Love them with strawberries and whipped cream ON TOP of butter and syrup. Yum.

Annika, when I was kid, summer Sunday night dinner after church consisted of three kinds of sherbert, watermelon, cantalope, cherries, peaches and any other fruit that was in season. We kids looked forward to Sundays all week!! :-)

Hubby makes the BEST sausage gravy. Homeade biscuts with a scramble egg layed on top......YUMMMY!

We only really do bigger breakfast on the weekends. The kids love that. During the week everyone is off to work and school at different times.

My favorite summer breakfast is berries and milk or yogurt, my hunny man makes to die for omelets, which I love any time of the year YUM! I love old fashioned style oatmeal and when I really feel hungry its bacon...lord! I LOVE bacon lol.. and sugar-spice french toast! I also love a baked apple for breakfast.

We simply love having breakfast for dinner too!. One Christmas eve a few years ago, we arrived home so tired and full of the troubles of the world that we were too dispirited to celebrate. Well that would never do, so I grabbed the apples, put a dab of butter with a little cinnamon and brown sugar in them, and got them baking, ran and did the chores , got into a pretty dress and an apron (of course!) and fixed the rest of our dinner. That Christmas eve we had French toast, baked apples, and brandy spice fresh whipped cream
And it was heavenly!

When my sweet tooth hits - belgium waffles with cherries (it feels more like a dessert) and a very large glass of skim milk.
Sometimes a pork roll and cheese sandwich.

Creamed chip beef for breakfast, Karrieann? That's supper up here :) I guess it's not different than sausage gravy, but for whatever reason I can't see it any other place during the day but dinner!
