Posted - Jul 17 2011 : 4:06:43 PM Saturday DH and I went berry picking about 20-miles from where we live at Berry Land in Abrams, WI.

We had a HUGE field to ourselves got there early before it really got hot and ended up with 20-pounds of Strawberries! We washed, mashed and froze every last pound within an hour of coming home...I can't wait until it's cooler so I can make Strawberry Jam--

Posted - Jul 18 2011 : 1:21:56 PM I saved a bunch of berries in the freezer to make into jam this winter too! I made 3 batches already but I saved about 5 more in the freezer. I can't wait for the blackberries and raspberries and blueberries now!

Posted - Jul 17 2011 : 8:52:50 PM we have a lovely u pick berry farm near us here too, so far this year my husband and I have picked cherries, blueberries, red and black raspberries and red currants. Since I don't have my own berry patch, I sure didn't mind picking in theirs!
