MaryJane gives us a Basic BakeOver Crust recipe from scratch in her book and in the new magazine using the Budget Mix but they are for 9" BakeOvers.
Does anybody have the measurements worked out for an 11" BakeOver Crust from scratch and using the Budget Mix? I'd sure appreciate it.

Posted - Jul 21 2006 : 1:20:20 PM Gotcha covered, Susan! Instructions from MJF? Just double the recipe for the 9" crust, and you'll have enough for a perfect 11" crust!
I hope that helps!

The website here shows the recipe for either 9" or 11" bakeover. I would think you could use the same amount and get a slightly thinner crust or add just a bit more budget mix (roughly 10% more) to get the right proportions.

You could always post your question to MJF directly through the forum titled "MaryJanes Products and Merchandise." They are always willing to help and are quick to respond...in fact one of the moderators might respond to you under this forum.
Good luck and enjoy!

Posted - Jul 18 2006 : 10:17:10 AM Dearest Susan, According to the Budget mix I have you just double the recipe to make the 11". I did do that last week and it worked out fine although I thought it was a little sticky. Maybe try more mix or a little less liquid. Happy cooking, Kelly |
