Posted - Apr 04 2010 : 06:36:13 AM I like it steamed until just tender as a side to some beer battered fish and tartar sauce. A healthier version of fish & chips!
As for other spring veggies - I've been making french carrot salad (so good!) and am trying to figure out what to do with my English cucumber - might try my hand at Scandinavian cucumber dill salad.

Posted - Mar 29 2010 : 10:12:19 AM Oh, YUM! My DH planted asparagus roots last year and we were so excited to see the tips of our very first spears peeking out on Saturday. I know we can only eat a couple of spears this year but I'm all giddy at the thought.

Posted - Mar 29 2010 : 08:53:23 AM Yep, we love to grill it, too. Also love (the tips) steamed, and tossed with fresh lemon/olive oil over penne, with a dusting of cracked pepper and fresh parmesan.
