1 pound linguine
3 chopped shallots
4 cloves garlic pressed
Fresh parsley, chives
Kosher salt
black pepper
zest of one lemon
12 stems of asparagus cut in one inch pieces
1/2 half lemon
Cook the pasta and when it is almost done saute all other ingredients except 1/2 lemon in pat of real butter and 1 tbsp olive oil
When pasta is done, combine all ingredients, toss to coat, squeeze half lemon over pasta and serve.
YUMMY
of course salt and pepper are to taste

I just "invented" this for lunch.

Made the recipe though a bit different, using the asparagus from the garden. It was a hit!

I just got some fresh asparagus at the farmers market today! Sounds yummy I love creating recipes! I will try this but I will use green garlic instead of garlic cloves

Okay, I'm tempted!!! I'm going to the market today, and this is dinner!

Thanks, Susan, for the recipe - don't you love asparagus/artichoke season?!?!?

XOXO, Libbie
