Well, I tried it, I really did try to give it go but I just couldn't take the smell. I picked up a box of organic roasted dandelion root tea at the store today but it doesn't ring my bell. Did I do something wrong, like steep it too long? (ten minutes)

So after posting this morning I decided to make a pot- it was really good- just want my body needed. I have a bit of a chest cold and I noticed a big difference in my throat and chest after drinking it. Nora wanted to share so we drank the pot together. It was so funny!

I made my own and must admit that it can be a bit bitter- but it's so good for you- I just sweeten it up and I really enjoy the taste and the smell! :D

I agree with Judy. Use it as a basic tea and add something like cinnamon. Have you tried Honey? I love it....You know, it may be the brand too. I'm pretty particular about the time of year it is harvested and how it is made too. Try and experiment. Brew it longer, shorter, add things and then try another brand if that fails. It can be yummy and very good for you.

Oh Kimberly, I just love dandelion root tea. I mix it with other teas usually for a system-cleanse/detox. Try mixing it with something that YOU really like....one of the mints maybe or cimmanon, orange, cloves, whatever flavor you like. I'm a big coffee drinker so I think it's a good substitute some days when I've had enough coffee. :-)

Didn't know you could drink it. Have dyed wool with it though. Not the tea...just the roots.
