10c Graham Flour [can use a combination of oats and graham flour]
4c brown sugar or 1 1/2 c honey
1T salt
1T baking soda
1 stk. melted butter
4c sour or buttermilk
1-2T maple flavoring [to taste]

Combine all ingredients, will be thick , togther. Pour half into two baking pans [cake size]. Bake at 350 until done. As soon as done crumble, beginging with edges first. You can crumble it by a food processor, grinder or we use a frame with the little rabbit fencing in the center, rubbing the cake over the frame until crumbled [makes for sore fingers]. Then lay on cookie sheet or drying pans [amish made] in a thin layer until dryed. While ours are drying we lay our canning jars mouth side down an a warming stove and then place dried warm grapenuts in jar and seal up. This actually seals the jars and the grapenuts stay fresh.

I hope you all enjoy!

I have made these using coarsely ground whole wheat flour. We like them with some cinnamon added to the mixture before baking. Sounds so good.

Thanks Angie...our breakfast were getting a little dull.

We have Graham flour at several stores Rinkel is a mill around here and they ahve it too. In a pinch you can use whole wheat flour and oats, Now maple syrup would replace honey, no brown sugar and no maple flavoring.

Yum! But where do I find graham flour? Is it in the flour section? I have never looked for it so don't know. Or can I just grind up graham crackers? Also can I use real maple syrup?

Thanks, Kris
