Posted - Jul 16 2009 : 8:41:10 PM I don't know why this just occured to me but does anyone else can their peaches in fruit juice (i.e. apple, pear or white grape) instead of syrup? I'm wondering how it turns out. I have always canned mine in a light homemade syrup but would love to get away from the refined sugar if possible and juice seems like a perfectly good alternative. If anyone could share their experience I'd be greatful!

Posted - Jul 20 2009 : 1:17:28 PM I just canned 65 jars of peaches and used only hot water. I'm not real fond of sugary fruits. This way they can be sweetened when opened for whatever you are using them for. Good luck Tammyb Sisterchick #541
