Posted - Jun 24 2009 : 08:37:19 AM I received this recipe by email from the Almanac. It sounds absolutely heavenly on these hot, hot days!
Cold Strawberry Soup Fruit Recipes | Soups, Stews, Chowders Recipes SAVERATEEMAILPRINTYield: Makes 3-1/2 cups
1 quart fresh or frozen strawberries 1/3 cup orange juice 1/4 cup cranberry juice 1/2 cup yogurt 1 teaspoon lime juice 2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg whipped cream or yogurt for garnish fruit for garnish fresh mint leaves Mix all ingredients (except garnishes) together and puree in food processor or blender. Chill for several hours to allow flavors to blend.
Garnish each serving with a dollop of whipped cream or yogurt, more cinnamon if desired, fruit, and a mint leaf
