Hi
I am looking for some spelt bread recipes .My daughter has allergies to wheat and other things .But I am looking for bread or crackers or and tips working with spelt flour.My girl is 4 yrs old so that limteds us alot .I can make agreat spelt pizza dough but bread I am hopeless well maybe not .Anyways if you can help that would be lovely

Cindy..I use spelt flour exclusively..same reasons as for your daughter. I buy the grain and grind it as I need it. It does work differently than wheat in the aspect of liquid to flour and it doesn't need as much kneading. Developing a sourdough starter helps in the digestion of the spelt (or any grain for that matter)..especially for people sensitive to wheat. Feel free to email me for some tips or questions Mumsie

Hi Cindy,
If you go to the top of the page, on the right side next to members, you'll see an option "search" where you can search for topics re: spelt flour. There are a few topics there.
