I couldn't think of anything to make for dinner so I decided to make a bake over! Right now I am letting it cool so I can turn it over. My tummy is rumbling!!

Sandy- They work out great! Once you try one, you will be hooked! And MaryJane sells the "Perfect Bake-Over Skillet" on the website. It is shaped like a wok with an oven safe handle. It has a non-stick surface that looks like teflon, but it has none of the dangers of teflon and in my humble opinion- works even better! I use my Bake-Over skillet for pretty much everything that needs a skillet. It is so handy to have to do stir-fry or even fried rice!

Thanks, Alee. Sounds tempting. I'll look into it. Nora is adorable. Our children are grown and out grandchildren are teenagers. We'd love to have little ones around again.

We had our very first bakeover on friday night. It won't be the last! It was a total hit, even the picky eater husband!

The 4 cups of vegetables were the last of the heirloom tomatoes from the farmers market, cubanelle peppers, cremini mushrooms, and white & green onions. We used some browned country sausage and I added dried basil & oregano. We used the regular budget mix.

It was a very easy dinner with an added green salad. I loved everything about it!

Hi San!

A bake over is a one-skillet meal. You can learn more about them in MaryJane's Books and Magazines, but basically you saute about 4 cups of veggies or veggies and meat together, adding cheese if you like, season to taste and then cover with one of MaryJane's mixes (She has some fabulous ones!!) Then you bake in the oven (still in the skillet) and when it comes out of the oven, you just flip it over onto a plate so the bread is on the bottom. It is so good!

You can also make dessert bake-overs!

Karen- oh yes, Nora has been eating whatever we eat since about a year old. She has had several bakeovers.

This one was scrambled hamburger, carrots, celary, green onion, salt, pepper, bean sprouts and cheese. I used regular whole wheat budget mix for the top. It was fabulous! Nora loved it and so did Doug! :D

I love bakeovers - my husband never thinks he's getting enough to eat so I usually make homemade soup with it too, then I can take the soup leftovers for lunches. I am still waiting for soup weather, sigh....

Bakeovers - they're wonderful! I've made two so far and both have been big hits. But of course it's wonderful..........it's MaryJane's creation! Enjoy and let us know how Nora likes it. I remember she likes Curry in a Hurry - can she do bakeovers yet?

God bless -
