Posted - Aug 26 2007 : 1:22:03 PM Just finished canning peaches and when I took them out of the water bath, the jars overflowed. All of the bottles sealed themselves but the jars are all sticky. Is the seal anygood? What should I have done differently?
Thanks Marianne |

Posted - Aug 27 2007 : 05:25:47 AM Filling your jars too full, or did you go over on your hot water bath time? Two things that could cause the overflow. Don't worry I think we have all been there done that before!! As long as they stay sealed, they will be fine. Michele |

Posted - Aug 26 2007 : 4:04:08 PM Sounds like maybe you filled them too full, that's the only think I can think with them overflowing. I think that if they all "popped" when they were cooling the seal should be good but I'm no expert.
