Posted - Jan 02 2022 : 6:11:45 PM I love this butter badge. I had a lot of fun making the different recipes. I made my own homemade butter and then I made a compound herb butter recipe with thyme, rosemary and oregano. Then I made a compound recipe with garlic and parsley. I made chocolate chip cookies with my homemade butter and then I put the butter in my gravy for my roast beef dinner tonight. It was a lot of fun.

Posted - Jan 04 2022 : 4:20:33 PM Your butters sound delicious and I think your idea of using the savory blends as a basis for gravy is great! MaryJane's book, Milk cow Kitchen ,has several wonderful recipes for compound butters and I need to take another look and make some , freeze them ,and have them ready for cooking. Perfect for when you are out of stock for grace as well as various soup bases.
