I used to raise bees when I lived in Concord CA. Recently since starting this badge, my friend Mike leaned me 2 hives to put on my property. The last 3 months I have been monitoring the hive, let all the weeds grow so they had a food source. We just went to Mike's and he showed us how to uncapped the frames, use the centrifuge to spin the honey from the frames and strain the honey. It was very educational. |

I was sitting outside this morning, drinking my coffee, and watching the bees enjoying the tall weeds on the other side of the dog fence....thinking that a hive would be a good addition to our yard!
