Posted - Nov 14 2016 : 6:43:43 PM I am going to record my work on my blogging merit badge here! I do have a question though! I have a blog that is already pretty established. Do I have to start another blog for this badge? I'd like to use my current blog to earn this badge. Of course, I'll still read the book and write the required posts.:)

Posted - Feb 11 2017 : 07:26:53 AM You have to complete all the requirements of the badge before you apply! Once you have done everything, you can apply. You'll have to explain how you earned the badge and pictures help! Good luck!

Posted - Feb 10 2017 : 8:42:45 PM I have decided to work on a merit badge. My friends and I had decided that we needed to begin making Christmas gifts so we would not be behind this year. This was about 3 wks ago. Then I decided to renew my membership and what did I see? A merit badge that would fit my needs "Homespun Christmas". Perfect! something to keep me on track. Now I just need to know do I apply prior to starting the Project or do I do my projects then apply, sorry I am confused. Also I have chosen to do the Heirlooms Forever badge. I have already ordered my organic GMO free seeds, so again I just need to know how to start. Thanks, Kathy |

Posted - Feb 04 2017 : 4:19:35 PM Thank you, Carole! Today I applied for the Recycling and Language/Culture merit badges! I'm also working on the recipes, knitting, ink slinger, and gratitude merit badges. More might be added to this list in the next few days when I figure out what I can work on right now.

Posted - Jan 30 2017 : 6:30:36 PM I earned the Going Green Badge! Today I did a little bit of everything. I researched honey bees, wrote in my gratitude journal, researched cruelty free cosmetics, and read a section of the book for the grammar badge. I've got several badges that I am working on all at once!

Posted - Jan 12 2017 : 10:32:12 AM About to start writing about my work with the Know Your Roots Merit Badge so I can send in the application. My grandparents on both sides are long gone but my mom has done a lot of research on both her and my dad's side of the family so we chatted for hours yesterday about our ancestors and she showed me some pictures and records. I have a lot of information to share and I'm so excited to apply for my first badge. I used to be called the badge queen when I was in Girl Scouts because I loved earning badges. I feel like I'm reliving my childhood. :)

Posted - Nov 22 2016 : 05:44:45 AM I posted this in the What are you working on? thread: Today I am working on the Going Green merit badge. It's the perfect day to start it since mom and I need to clean her house for guests. She has a mix of both green cleaners and regular cleaners. I'm going to chat with her about green cleaners (she has been slowly trying to be more green anyway) and use only green cleaners to clean the house today! :)

Posted - Nov 21 2016 : 1:43:48 PM Starting the knitting merit badge tonight! My mom taught me how to knit when I was a kid but it's been awhile so I'm going to knit a garter stitch scarf for my first project. Here is the yarn I'm going to use:

Posted - Nov 15 2016 : 12:35:48 PM I'm going to turn this into a log for all of my merit badges instead of just the blogging one. That way, I won't have too many threads running. I am going to post about my knitting in a bit.

Posted - Nov 15 2016 : 11:23:24 AM Thank you for breaking the ice Kiersten, I too was wondering if I could use a current blog to earn the merit badge. But I won't start work until after the holidays, as I have too many other projects I need to attend to first. Good luck!
