Posted - Sep 13 2016 : 4:06:37 PM I'm new to the sisterhood, and my daughter (10) would love to earn badges, too. Do I have to officially sign her up somewhere? :)

Audra I am so happy your daughter has decided to join us! I can't wait to see what she works on first!

Posted - Sep 14 2016 : 3:41:42 PM Howdy Audra,
Good question! Yes, you'll need to sign her up and provide a birth certificate, letter of references from at least 2 non-family members along with a credit history and SAT scores that place her well "above-average."
Just kidding! Sometimes I think I'm funny!
To actually provide you with a real answer, there's no need for you to officially sign her up. You and your daughter can work on the Young Cultivator badges (http://www.farmgirlsisterhood.org/young_cultivators.asp) together and you will be filling the role of "Mentoring Sister" when you fill out the application for earning her badge: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/farmgirl-sisterhood/merit-badge-applications.asp?Action=Cultivators
This is actually the same for when you daughter is older and wishes to earn Farmerette badges too. The Farmerette badges are the exact same badges as the Sisterhood badges, just with a different application page: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/farmgirl-sisterhood/merit-badge-applications.asp?Action=Farmerettes
You can actually be the mentoring Sister for kids that aren't even yours! We have a few members who have little groups where they all work together for badges. I always love to see those applications come through! All of that is free for our Sisterhood members. :)
I hope that helps. If you have more questions please feel free to call or email me. My number is 888-750-6004 and I'm usually in the office M-F 9-5 Pacific time. My email is brianogle@maryjanesfarm.org
Thanks,
