Posted - Sep 09 2012 : 1:33:46 PM We unplugged on a small island again. This time it was island wide garage sale day - he he he! Get this! Our room had a TV and a VCR - no television service. So....dh bought two VHS tapes for $.50/each and we donated them to the owner for future renters - The Perfect Storm, and On Golden Pond. We laughed that we were going back in time, buying VHS tapes! Ha ha ha! We had a great time watching the waves and we toured a light house back at the mainland(could not tour inside it at the time, but plan to go back), and we relaxed. I'll have some updates on my blog soon. :)
(that is me standing in front of the light house).

Me....sitting on the rocks, near our secluded location....awww, I'll miss those waves and solitude. |

Posted - Sep 12 2012 : 09:53:16 AM I didn't know Amelia Island had one. Neat! I used to vacation with my parents (years ago) at Anna Maria Island.
We did have a good time. My hubby goes back to overtime work starting this weekend. He needed it as much as I did.

Posted - Sep 11 2012 : 05:36:17 AM It looks like you had a wonderful time. I love lighthouses and was fortunate to visit one when I was in MA recently. There is a lighthouse on Amelia Island, Florida about 5 miles from my house. I have not toured it yet. So glad you had a chance to get away and enjoy yourself.
Hugs,
Nancy
