We unplugged on a small island again. This time it was island wide garage sale day - he he he! Get this! Our room had a TV and a VCR - no television service. So....dh bought two VHS tapes for $.50/each and we donated them to the owner for future renters - The Perfect Storm, and On Golden Pond. We laughed that we were going back in time, buying VHS tapes! Ha ha ha! We had a great time watching the waves and we toured a light house back at the mainland(could not tour inside it at the time, but plan to go back), and we relaxed. I'll have some updates on my blog soon. :) (that is me standing in front of the light house).

Wow, what a great get away! I love light houses too. Their histories are so remarkable. Glad you two are having some get away time after a long hot summer. It is rejenerating for sure!
It looks like you had a wonderful time. I love lighthouses and was fortunate to visit one when I was in MA recently. There is a lighthouse on Amelia Island, Florida about 5 miles from my house. I have not toured it yet. So glad you had a chance to get away and enjoy yourself.
