Farm Kitchen: Know Your Food - Beginner
Have you started working on this badge yet? It is a great one to work on because it helps you make real changes to connect with fresh foods. It is one of the first badges I earned in 2010 and I'm happy to say the habits have stayed with me. It is what got me started on growing sprouts at home and to garden more and purchase less.
Here is a link to the badge requirements: http://www.farmgirlsisterhood.org/badges-fk-know-your-food.asp
One of the requirements is to read Animal, Vegatable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. This book is currently available to borrow from our Farm Library!
Please email me through the chatroom if you wish to request it. Be sure to include your name, address, email and phone number with your request. I look forward to seeing your name listed in the chatroom as a Merit Badge Awardee!
