I always assumed that pre-1960’s fabric by the yard was 36” but I was unaware that it was 30” until the 2930’s..
As for nylon zippers, I new they came into popularity around the mid 1960’s…

Posted - Mar 03 2024 : 08:30:20 AM Wow! I haven't used seersucker for years! Always loved that material. Haven't seen it forever. Given enough time, I'm sure they will bring it back....

Posted - Feb 24 2024 : 12:28:29 PM Oh Judith… seersucker fabric was my favorite go to fabric in the mid-late 1960’s… I still love it but it is nearly impossible to find except in antique stores or on eBay- Etsy… Give me a pink/orange plaid seersucker fabric sun dress and I am in hog-heaven!

Posted - Feb 23 2024 : 8:47:29 PM I remembered when I was first married I bought some fabric that was 26 inches. Very early 60s. They must have had that fabric sitting around in the back room for along time. It was seersucker and I made star quilt blocks with it. At least I tried to.
