Alright, farmgirls, I got what may be a bright idea, I dunno...

At our house, we committed ourselves to a carbon-free Earth Day, so I'm outside hanging laundry on a beautiful April afternoon. (Thank goodness the weather is finally ready for laundry!) Just enjoying the sun and the breeze, grateful that we have a good old-fashioned clothesline to save energy and infuse our laundry with light and outdoorsy goodness. Now, two of the items hanging on my clothesline to dry are dishcloths made by farmgirls friends in conjunction with MJF swaps. So I've got farmgirl swaps, Gaia, and clothespins on my mind. When I reach into my (empty) clothespin container, it hits me:

Who wants to do a clothespin swap?

Clothespins are cheap and can easily be transformed into fun objects. I've already got some with bees, ladybugs, etc. on 'em. (See my blog later today for more on them...)

Okay! Here's the official list:

Single Round Participants--SHIPPED!

A.k.a. farmgirls making 18 clothespins, getting a mix of 18--three from each participant--back:

Kim
Aunt George
EmmJay
Buttercup
Huckelberrywine
KitchenWitch(X3)

Double Round Participants -- SHIPPED!

Or farmgirls making 36 clothespins and getting a mix of 36 back again:

smoothiejuice I & II
katmom
BotanicalBath
BlueWrenn
Huckelberrywine
KitchenWitch

Type: I think either the hinged wooden pins or the solid, unhinged wood ones are fine--whatever works best for your creative idea! They work equally well on the line in my experience.

Deadline: Please plan to ship your clothespins to me so that they arrive no later than June 15th. That way I can ship them so we can all have our new clothespins on hand for the summer solstice.

Live joyfully, deliberately, simply, abundantly.

I "went green" this summer and am now hanging my clothes on the line I had installed. I would like to be part of this swap if it starts again. I am not sure who I contact....any information on how to join would be great!

I was out of town when my package came, so just opened it and WOW was I blown away!! First Kristina...you did a marvelous job of presentation. The little name cards and the tissue wrap of each set of pins was...well...you really took alot of time..it was beautiful. The clothes pins are so, so beautiful and the soap and candle...gosh, so nice. I'm going to work on getting photos up on my blog hopefully today.

Thanks Farmgirl friends and Kristina for all of the hard work and beautiful clothespins!!

I think I may enter that really colorful one of mine in the fair next year in the color salon division. I do not know. It is just so cheery!

Thanks for posting the pics, Elizabeth. My digital camera fritzed a few weeks back, so I wasn't able to post them.

As I believe all but our international contingents have received their packages, I think we are looking good. Just to be safe, who, exactly, is still waiting on their clothespins? Just want to start wrapping things up here...

YAHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got my clothespins today, and what a treat. I am catching up on laundry. I am back to work now, and had alot of it, so things are being put out on the line. To all of you farmgirls who were in the swap.....YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB!
Even hubby likes them, and does not think I should chance putting them on the line, but keep them inside for show....hmmm.
Botanical Bath (Elizabeth), you are a WONDERFUL swap mama, and I love the gifts (even though I don't deserve them)
Farmgirl hugz to all......gotta go hang laundry.

From all I've read you did a great job girls, some bumps along the way.
Looking forward to the next clothespin swap......

Enjoying life.

Michelle, I don't know what to tell you except to say that I *KNOW* I didn't indicate UPS for your box--obviously, the folks in our Fulfillment department didn't look carefully enough at the details for your package! You and Buttercup were the only exceptions as I know UPS can't do P.O.'s and Buttercup is international. I am so sorry for the mix-up!

Kristina...just a quick update. I had a note in my PO box that UPS couldn't deliver to the PO Box, so they are coming back to the house tomorrow. I'm guessing that must be the clothespins. :) I'll confirm tomorrow, after I finish ooohing and aahhing. :) Thanks so much!

We make a difference.

Linda, I think one of the other ladies in the group volunteered/was volunteered to host the next swap. I can't off the top of my head recall who that might have been; I don't think it's started yet...

18'ers, please confirm when you're clothespins have arrived--I just want to be sure everyone has gotten their package of goodies.
