Posted - Jan 31 2018 : 08:39:19 AM I've made a couple placemats and some lap quilts from shirts. No patterns were used - I just kind of cut and put together what I thought looked good. That's as much quilting experience as I have.
I have a lot of farm/cow fabric and I would like to make a very simple quilt for our bed. I want to embroidery our farm name and possibly our names on a block in the center. I was thinking of just cutting squares of the farm fabric, but I'm not sure I want it to be quite that simple. Is there a favorite place you quilting farmgirls go to get free quilt block patterns? I was thinking of maybe a barn or cow or milk can, etc. Or do you have a favorite simple block?
Thanks for any help you can give!
