Posted - Feb 15 2007 : 5:56:57 PM So, I finally got some pictures uploaded, and wanted to share! I'm starting to take pictures of my crafts, to see how much I make, and I thought the farmgirls might like to see them.
Here's the first one I made: ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v63/Persephone82/Picture_005.jpg)
And here it is with the other two: ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v63/Persephone82/Picture_034.jpg)
And here's the pincushion I made last night, while the baby was awake. I tried to be all artsy with the picture, but it was my first attempt: ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v63/Persephone82/Picture_036.jpg) |

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 1:57:16 PM Georgann I use the cloth mini pads/liners on an every day basis. Even though I still have my moons, in between I can sneeze and have a little accident.

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 12:25:18 PM I really like aplix better than velcro. Georgann, giving a girl a supply of cloth for her Menarch is one way to commemorate it!

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 11:19:32 AM Aplix is a name-brand of hook-and-loop tape...like Velcro. I've never used it, so for someone who has...Is it preferable to Velcro? How do the two compare?

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 09:23:01 AM I was planning on using snaps, but what is aplix? |

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 08:46:45 AM Hmmm....Don't need them anymore, but I'm wondering if they would be good for bladder control? Hmmmmm....might have to try sewing some up...of course, not for me...LOL.
Oh, and I have two daughters...still pretty young, but I think I would rather have them use these right from the start. So I have a few years to sew and stockpile!! Gosh, I've learned so much from all of you here, I am so thankful that I have all of you wonderful farmgirl friends! Proof positive that you can teach an old dog new tricks!
Love the 'mater pin cushion. I'm going to have to try one of those. I've got some pretty red vintage fabric sitting around!
Great job!

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 07:13:33 AM Very good job. Are you using snaps or applix? When I make my own I like to use applix.

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 07:06:11 AM You can get various thicknesses of liners for the pads. They are 2 separate pieces.

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 07:04:50 AM I like Hagrag, I love the fabrics. Never ordered anything from her though- I have a question- are her pads really thick? Because they look rather thin to me, and I need a thick pad. |

Posted - Feb 16 2007 : 06:36:26 AM Those are ingenious! And the fun fabrics sure would make that icky time a little more bearable. (However, not enough to make me wish I still had need for them!! :) Your tomato is so cute, and very well photographed!

Posted - Feb 15 2007 : 6:48:38 PM Thanks! I'm pretty proud of my stuff. It's so cool to be able to look at it, and say, I MADE that! :) I still need to add snaps to my cloth though.
Oh, I've been using cloth since college. :) But these were the first ones I made. My first pads came from Lunapads, and from then on have been from WAHMs. |

Posted - Feb 15 2007 : 6:38:36 PM Those look great! Once you try cloth you won't want to go back to the disposable. I'm in the same boat with Kim, no more rashes or infections from the bleached out kind. I love your tomato too.
Blessings.... Sarah
