I took the small (I think they are called train cases) one and painted it, lined the inside and made a sewing kit. I love it. I also have 2 new ones that I am doing and your idea is great. I am going to try it.

yep, cutesiefying up old luggage can be addicting...
Thank goodness for ModPodge...I have been decopaging 'train cases' with both fabric & bling as well as using graphics...just so much fun!

My friend and I have been doing this for about a year--it's very addicting. I just returned from our cabin and stopped at a thrift store and found another one of those small cases which are harder to find for $3--there just the right size for projects you might want to bring along.
