okay, zan, here is the scrap craft thread. i remember there being a lot more pics. but maybe it just felt that way cause it sure seemed hard at the time to post pics. it took me hours sometimes on this dial up computer, anyway, this will give you some idea of some of my items and also they are on the farmfolks and bunnie blogs,
i seemed to be able to email you. hope you received it.

i dont know what happened to valentines day here at the farm, but we have started crafting for easter.
thought i would share some works in progress, little lop eared bunnies that are starting to show up everywhere:

right now they are 6 and in various stages of "birthing" but i hope to have them dressed and ready to go for easter with clothes and little baskets with eggs.

thanks so much to all the farmgirls who have sent concerns and thoughts and prayers to me.
my life here at the farm is very rewarding and busy, but i dont get out much as my dh points out to me. it can be literally weeks before i get into the car and leave, and that is really fine with me.....but when my body goes ziggy on me and i cant leave, well then all of a sudden i can think of a million things i need to do out there in the hinterland.
i have been busy making the pincushions, acorns and stuffies, but i do have some plans for some new purses, clothespin baskets, fingerless gloves, and the wooden bobbin shelves and frame trays.
i know some of these things have been rattlin around in my head forever, but i am hoping after christmas i will be able to focus on developing some of these items.
i had hoped to open an etsy store, but feel that right now the concept of selling to 3-4 local stores in texas has been working out for me, and quite honestly, i have trouble keeping up with those orders, mostly cause i am a little SLOW>.
i have missed posting, but was so glad to hear from all of you that took the time to email or write a post.
i'm still here at the farm, and increasingly alive and craftin'.
please keep me posted on all your doings.
nancy jo, i wish we could have driven over to nance in france's crafty party together and checked in on the girl.
i know if we lived in the same neck of the wood, we would be garage saling all the time, i had no idea that you dont fly....im with you on that......never been in an airplane in my life!
love to all...and have a great holiday season!

thanks so much cheryl,
i received a wonderful email from tina, in florida which really touched me. thanks so much. sometimes i get busy, or my computer gets the glitches or i do have some health glitches from time to time, that i am just used to .
anyway, it was so nice for tina to reach out and let me know that she and others have been missing me, it is nice to be missed.
i just thought by not posting while i was sick that i would spare everyone the details of my woes.
i am very busy right now making crafts for some shops here in texas and i am happy about that. i love making my crafts and i love that folks want them.
i have continued to make the acorns, pincushions, aprons and stuffies, and hope that after christmas i will have the time to develop some new things that have been rattllin around in my imagination. as soon as i get them made i will post some pics here.
and as some of you know, i use that term "soon" loosely, as i seem to have two speeds, slow and slower.
thanks again for taking the time to let me know i have been missed, i will try to start posting more, but in the meantime, i have enjoyed keeping up with everyone here by reading their post.
we really have a great group here. love to all, and thanks again to tina for letting me know she has missed me.

I did somewhat of a vague post and hope they can make since of it all. I think you're a lot like me and I sure can understand the wait and make sure thing. I crushed my shoulder in a all I did while being stupid standing on a chair, another long story, and had surgery to remove part o the shoulder bone, so I knit with a pillow under my let arm. I think when I ell and knocked myself out for a we hours some o the brain cells, if ever there were any, went with that few hours of my life..lol so memory, or nostalgia, is never something I have to get caught up in or be committed to..hugs Fran..thank you or your help my dear lady..

Frannie, the items are wonderfully creative. A farm girl never lets things go to waste and you have shown us how to do that.

i agree, i have to keep focused as well and that has always been a bit of a problem, but now that i am older, i have the focus problem and sometimes the memory problem, which can work cause i forget that i didnt do something.
but really, i like to think a commitment through before i jump in there cause if i say i'm gonna do somethin i want to actually do it.
that's why i want to take a little time and decide what i want to do with your organization.
i'll be checkin back in with you.
i have to go work on my cat condo....i mean craftroom.

Thank you Fran, i will check it out. My biggest problem I suppose it is to kep it narrowed down and focused. We do so many things I just hate for anyone to feel there isn't something they can do lol and what a blessing it is when you see you fulfilled the need..satisfying is what I would say..

wow, that scared me just hearing about it.
okay, if you look in the topic farmgirl chapters there will be a thread about farmgirl charities, the last post was on the 22 of july so you have to go back 2 days to find it.
i think you could post your info there and see if you find some farmgirls that feel this is the right work for them to pursue.

No, lol, I haven't discovered it as yet, but would love to see it. Yeah, I would rather be out there swinging baseball bats and galloping horses into the sunsets too, (we used to play "King on the horses" when we were kids) and feel spry as a young hen but life makes you succumb and you understand just how delicate it is. I am accustomed to the panic attacks too. I think what started mine was a time when I was with my kids 4 wheeling and the brakes went out and we did a rollover going around 90 miles an hour downhill on a grade about 6 to 8 %. We hit the back of my nephews pickup about three times before we went airborne and sideways into the only spot on the mountain we could land without going over at least a thirty foot drop. No one died, the Lord was there that day, but there were seven people loose in our vehicle that day. Never go where we could do that again but the panic attacks just never go away. Some days worse than others..thank God for Xanax though..jusst at night and I do projects to keep me busy during the days.

pauline.
okay can we talk girl. i dont understand all the health issues at a young age. my obgyn used to say i was too healthy. when i had my heartattack at 46, i think they tried to tell me it was a congenital weakness, but my ob who had known me for over 20 years said , no way!
he said after delivering 4 babies to me he thinks he would have noticed a congenital heart problem.
my theory is that i was involved in a car hijacking 13 years ago and the fear and resulting panic attacks took its toll on me....it just took 3 years for it to happen. anyway, it totally changed my life, at first i thought for the worse, now i'm not so sure.
yes i would rather be fit as a fiddle, but i do love my stay at home omie farmgirl life, and if i wasnt so puny i would probably be out there working in the world of wealthcare.....i mean healthcare, and my heart just isnt in to that anymore since all the changes have occurred.
anyway, i am still looking for the thread that i think you need to see if you havent already discovered it.

I just read the label and tag post and i think thats a lovely idea also. I understand the heart problem and I know how it feels to be sat back, out of a family of 11 kids there isn't one, including self, that doesn't have problems with that. My cousins are dropping like flies and my father and one brother died from heart complications. I have a stint for now and will be getting another soon. I would take a page up going through all the bypasses and heart attacks..after being in such good shape as kids we all look like hobbling oldies now! lol
I don't normally get on boards like this but you all just drew me in for some reason, besides I am a farm girl and have been one all my life, even down to cooking homemade bread in the wood stoves and campfires..if it's country I have been there and done that!
I have a poem from one of my professional poem writers at "Enchanted Mountains" that he wrote especially for this organization if that would be any use. I could send you a copy of it to examine..I will quit before I get a book going right here and now!!

thanks so much bonnie!
i tried to read your blogspot, but i couldnt get my computer to co-operate. i did get to see the beautiful photo of the daylily though.
i am gonna check it out tonite during my computer time.
i am gonna try and see if i can come up with some tags, paper and fabric.
i think quilt labels that are personalized would be nice.
i really appreciate yalls input and suggestions.
and pauline, i am gonna come up with something , i want to give it some thought, but i am leaning toward the stuffies, i make them in recycled felted knit, but i have made afew in reclycled silk and they are very nostalgic and sweet.
i wish we could adopt your project as the farmgirl cause.
i think there was a thread recently....let me check on it and i'll let ya know.

Ah, I have checked out your wonderful work and we would be honored to have you included with donations such as that. I think the Christmas baskets would look so cute with those items. If you get nostalgic and look back to the good Ole days in the 1800's those are the type of toys they played with and boy were the kids blessed. Memories are what they would be creating, good ones, and that is what we want. Whether it be stuffed toys, pillows that touch a loved one to remember their smell, and those that just need something to hang onto. I have one daughter that used satin items to feel comfort..
I saw some ladies like to quilt here as well, boy would I love to snag them. We also donate to/through "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" a photography organization that has photographers come in and take pictures of the babies while passing or have passed for the families to keep. It is nationwide and awesome. they use the burial items we make from wedding gowns, they look like christening gowns, you should see their web site. It has been on the news so many times they have a collection of video's. Awesome ladies with chapters everywhere and all they do is for free as well. Love working with everyone.

ooops i almost forgot, i am on a bit of a tag kick, i started a thread on labels and tags, check out the blog and see if maybe i could make some tags to go with your gowns.
i dont know, but i think when the right idea hits, we'll know it.
i think you are doing such great work, and i have been looking for some way to do something helpful.
i am a real homebody, and about 10 years ago i had some real shifts in my health, heart attack, thyroid disease, medication reactions....it really changed my life.
so i dont do any volunteering, number one: i have never been much of a joiner, when i worked i worked with the public, so relaxing meant having some alone time at the farm.
and when your sick.....you dont feel consisitantly good enough to commit to being here or there next tuesday, etc. but i could make some projects here and participate, and i do think your cause is a very good one.
anyway, i cant wait to see your pics.
