Has any one ever taken them there? I am specifically talking about sewing classes. I signed up to take the basic sewing class (sewing 101) at Joann's tomorrow. Do you think they are any good? It was only $35 and is a Christmas present from my bf. I have never sewn before and would like to learn good sewing habits early on.

Do you know anything about them?? Thanks!

Chelsey,
Thats great that you had fun and learned at the same time. Now don't be afraid to take another class if you have the chance.
I consider myself a fair sewer. There are lots of things that I need to get better at. (zippers for one) And I love to take classes as often as I can. Sometimes you learn more from others mistakes and or questions. And besides, you are with people that have the same interest as you. And its fun!!

Ok...I just took the sewing 101 class today and it was great! I really enjoyed myself and the instructor was excellent and very helpful! She took time with each class student (there were 4 of us) and was very informative! I can't wait to start sewing for real now!!! I feel a lot more confident now!

How the class is presented all depends on the instructor. There is a set curriculum from corporate, but the instuctor sets the tone of the class. Hope you have a good class! let us know how it goes!
